Party and Private Bookings
Please Note: we are not able to offer party bookings this year (2026)
We desperately need this year to replace our club building and also the marquee on the field with a permanent shelter as both would be end of life this year.
With the limited amount of volunteers we have it simply is impossible to do all 3. The improvements, running days and party bookings.
So we have had to make the hard decision that we would use days that would have been for party bookings for work days.
If we had chosen running days and party bookings it would have put the railway into disrepair and likely of been the last year it was open.
This way we can continue long in to the future with a better place for both visitors and volunteers.
Party bookings are highly likely to be back next year with better facilities.
The railway makes an ideal place for a birthday party with plenty of space and the added bonus of unlimited train rides.
– Up to 36 Children (Parents can stay too)
– Hot water urn and use of our refreshments hut for making drinks
– Unlimited Train rides during your party
– Covered seating
We provide the venue and the train rides, you just need to bring your own buffet food and drinks.
The cost of a Birthday party at the railway is £150 for a 2 hour party with a 50% deposit at time of booking.
As the party organiser you can arrive up to 45 mins before the party starts to organise your food etc. and get ready for your guests to arrive as well as having time at the end of the party to get everything together.
We can only accommodate a weekend party as all our staff are volunteers.
We offer 2 time slots for a party.
10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm
