7 ¼ inch Narrow Gauge (Miniature) Railway
Our railway is run entirely by volunteers who give up their free time to run and maintain the railway
The Fenland Light Railway is a 7 ¼ inch gauge Narrow Gauge Railway (Ride on Miniature Railway), We also have a large garden railway layout where model trains can be seen running.
We open on selected Sundays throughout the year and at the moment operate a pre-book system only.
We are also able to take party and private bookings
We have covered seating and a refreshments building that serves hot drinks, cold drinks and delicious homemade cakes.
– Train rides are just £1.50 per ride/person
– Hot and Cold Drinks £1.50 and Homemade cakes at £1.50 per slice
Our aim is to provide a local attraction that is accessible and affordable for all.
We are always looking for volunteers to help maintain and run the railway,

Great couple of hours out. Loved that we had our own little section. Fairly priced refreshments. Staff very knowledgeable Want to come back again. The only down side is keeping an eye on the fb page for ticket releases

This is a brilliant place for little ones and steam enthusiasts alike. It's a narrow gauge railway with smaller model railways on display too. Very friendly staff and delicious homemade cakes on offer too. I highly recommend

Absolute gem of a place. We have been coming for 4 years since our son was 4 and he had his 8th birthday there last year. We go with friends and it’s such a special place as our boys have some independence and freedom and us adults can enjoy a catch up as we can see them without being with them at all times. The volunteers work so hard and are so lovely. We feel so privileged that we have been able to enjoy Fenland light railway as such a major part of our son’s childhood and his memories, Christmas, Easter, Halloween and 2 parties as well as numerous running days. It’s both his and our favourite place to visit.

This is a great little place to spend a couple of hours. It's nice you get tokens to easily swap out for rides and cake/drinks, makes it simple. Also the fact they restrict the numbers of families to the right number of tables makes it not as busy which is great for some families that avoid busy places. You don't need to queue very long to go on the train. I look forward to seeing how it develops, particularly with he miniature track and the decoration around the main track.

This place is a hidden gem run by the amazing volunteers. During lockdown it was our safe place to visit. Tickets have to be bought in advance and these are limited which means it’s not crowded when you go. Your session is 2 hours which is plenty of time to have lots of rides. Each family has a pod or table in a covered area so you have your own space. The £10 booking fee is then exchanged for train tickets on arrival. You can choose a drink and /or cake voucher too. The cakes are all homemade and really tasty! Sometimes there is a theme. Halloween and Christmas is extra special. The light railway train ride is fabulous. Our little one loves every second we’re there. The volunteers make your time there very special. We love this place and would highly recommend.

Fenland light railway is a lovely place to visit. The staff are all passionate about trains and make it even more fun for the children. The special events they hold are excellent! Well organised and fun for the children. They also do a good homemade piece of cake for the adults. They only run on certain days but it is worth the wait.
